"No, I was talking about the arm you didn't break coming off that ladder. I think you might be one of those unbreakable people. What's the worst car accident you've ever been in? Have you ever been in a train wreck?"

"Have you been listening to me? I just told you my whole fucking life is a trainwreck."

"I'm on to you Lisa. You're smarter than the average lesbian. One sunny day I'll read you like a book."

She turned away to hide a smile.

my dad's getting divorced again. The next one will be stepmother number #3. I liked #2. When I'd visit, she'd get me things without asking, like iced-coffee. I don't know why iced-coffee, but it was good. I saw her make it once. It was basically just milk, ice, sugar and coffee. Brilliant. She also taught me how to cook fried rice so delicious I've become the envy of all my friends.

 "What's the secret ingredient?" they ask.

"Sorry. Can't tell. Old family recipe"

I never met my dad's second wife. Some lady he met overseas. That was his transitional wife I guess. When she left, she took his camera, he loves to remind me. I'm like, "Jesus Christ Dad, I'll buy you a fucking camera if you'll just shut the fuck up about it.". We have one of those relationships where it's okay for me to swear at him.

The last 10 days of my life have been a tumbling, disorganised mess of one day bleeding into another. This doesn't mean this diary entry has to be, but like a drunken night out, it's probably going to head that way pretty fast, unless I suddenly get a grip. It's just three half-started diaries that I've half-finished, then tried to squash into one. Even the Husi convention of section headings would help matters, but I don't like to separate things out when there's opportunity for unity.

apparently as the winner of WFC2 I'm supposed to organise the next one. Not being part of the husi cabal I wasn't aware of this, but I'm happy to comply with convention. I'd be grateful though if you could answer the following questions over the fold

thanks guys. Glad so many people like my story. There's was some good entries and I wasn't sure how I'd compare.  The Eighth Wonder is not something I would have written save for this challenge.  It planted a seed in my brain which the story was able to grow around. When I'd finished it, it felt right to me but I'm always totally unsure until I get feedback if a story works or not.

didn't really know what to pick after thinking it might be a good idea last week to do this.

I've had an account for some time here but haven't done much with it. I'm a K5 power user, meaning I have many active dupes, post stories, and hang out in the diary ghetto. but I've cracked the shits last-straw style because I object strongly to the fact that a user posts links to videos of teenagers torturing animals to death, and the fucking admins don't delete them. He's a repeat offender of this.

k5 is being upgraded, so i need to be entertained in the interim. Last time I came by, attempts at trolling me (presumably because I was an outsider) were sub-par. It was like I'd stumbled into a scoop site for all those naive children than mad max found out in the desert.


Then I thought, hangon, if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. I probably didn't provide enough attack surface. This time I'll provide so much, you should be able to climb me in thongs and stick a husi flag atop.  (over the fold)
